I’m a US Army veteran who loves everything about design. After separating from the Army, I used my GI Bill and earned my Bachelor’s in Graphic Design, graduating in 2015. Since then, I have been freelancing, as well as running a small Web Design and Digital Marketing company with a partner. I love all forms of Graphic Design, but my passion is for Web Design and photography.
UX/UI Designer | June 2018 – present
Designed and created full UX for multiple websites. Responsibilities included completing wireframes based on the discovery team’s efforts, while following precise parameters laid out by budget and company resources. Execute production design for websites that vary from a dozen pages to over 30 unique pages, all designed in up to four different viewports. All designs are responsive, interactive, and user friendly. Worked closely with the development team to ensure all designs are translated to code accordingly.
Art Director, UX/UI Designer, Assistant Digital Marketer | 2016 – present
Part of a two man team running a Web Design and Digital Marketing company. Worked directly with all clients on creating their websites from start to finish, including all communications, content creation/collection, site layout, design, and creation. Involved in multiple aspects of digital marketing, including paid-per-click advertising, sales funnel creation , landing page creation, and sales video creation.
2012 – present
Worked on hundreds of a wide variety of graphic design projects including websites, print design, and marketing materials.
Combat Medic, Paratrooper, Noncommissioned Officer and Squad Leader | 2006 – 2010
Served in the US Army for four years as a Combat Medic. Achieved the rank of Sergeant E-5 in two and a half years, and was a squad leader, in charge of five soldiers. Deployed to Iraq from October 2008 – October 2009 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Ran over 300 combat missions in and around Baghdad during that time, and was responsible for the wellbeing of 24 US Army soldiers. Attended the US Army Airborne School and completed 20 parachute jumps. Awarded multiple medals including: Airborne Wings, Combat Medic Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terror Medal, Operation Iraqi Freedom Medal and others. Was honorably discharged on October 24th, 2010.
